Marine Water Production

MWP’s mission is to convert sea water to potable, industrial and agricultural water through a Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (“SWRO”) process on Floating Desalination Vessels and sell the fresh water in bulk in selected markets worldwide on long term contracts.

Message from the Executive Chairman

The fresh water challenge

Well over half the world’s population experiences some form of water scarcity, and it is increasing at an alarming rate. By 2030 the world may face a 40% shortfall in water supply. The good news is that proven technology exists to develop additional desalination plants to ensure there is capacity to match supply with the demand even in the most water constrained areas.

The role of desalination

Desalination of sea water to fresh water is a proven and straight forward technology and is an attractive and affordable option for an increasing number of locations.

Floating desalination solutions

A floating desalination solution represents a quick, environmentally friendly and easy way to provide fresh water from sea water compared to a traditional land-based desalination solution.

Marine Water Production

Together with our industrial partners we will initiate, develop, finance, implement, and manage Floating Independent Water Producer projects, and arrange the ownership and technical operation and maintenance of the individual Floating Desalination Vessels in separate special purpose companies.

We aim to develop floating desalination projects in countries facing the most significant water constraints and believe these countries will offer attractive returns and that the risks can be well managed at all stages of the life cycle of the projects. Our design is based on proven technology and with world class suppliers across the whole value chain.

With a clear commitment to conduct business with the highest standard of ethical compliance, I am confident MWP will successfully fulfill its vision to deliver superior floating desalination solutions in response to the world´s water scarcity challenge. Certainly, good for the world as well.
